The University provides robust support for teaching, scholarship, and creative work. Faculty seeking resources to support this work are encouraged to first follow their home school’s processes for requests. Through their school, faculty can access resources for a range of professional activities, from invited guest lectures to conference travel to course-related materials.   • School of Arts & Sciences

    Research Grants (A&S)

    Funding Source: A&S Faculty Research Committee

    Eligibility: full-time A&S tenure-line or tenure faculty 

    Amount: Up to $6,000

    Application Process: Submit online application

    Timeline: Deadlines are announced early each semester.

    Faculty Summer Research Fellowships (A&S)

    Funding Source: A&S Faculty Research Committee

    Eligibility: full-time A&S tenure-line or tenure faculty help focus on research/creative projects over the summer

    Amount: $3,000 for 5 weeks; $6,000 for 10 weeks.

    Eligibility: funding to address one-time needs not covered by other funding

    Amount: Over $5,000

  • Jepson School of Leadership Studies

    Direct Cost Research Grant

    Funding Source: Jepson School of Leadership Studies

    Eligibility: Full-time Jepson faculty. For research-related expenses that exceed Professional Development funds

    Amount: n/a

    Application Process: Apply to Dean and Director of Budgets & Operations

    Timeline: First day of academic year in which funds are to be used OR Jan. 31 for summer projects

    Jepson International Research Grant

    Funding Source: Jepson School of Leadership Studies

    Eligibility: full-time, tenure-track, or tenured Jepson faculty. To reimburse expenses incurred during prolonged research in international venues.

    Amount: Up to $5,000

    Timeline: First day of academic year in which funds are to be used OR Jan. 31 for summer projects

    Amount: Up to $1,000
