World Politics and Diplomacy
Description
UR’s multidisciplinary International Studies: Politics and Diplomacy concentration has been highly popular with students since the early 1990s, and remains so. However, in the interim, the world has changed dramatically. This FLC will ask: what are the strengths of the current major design? Is it a curriculum for the 21st Century? We will consider changes in the global environment; developments in international studies as a field of inquiry and of instruction; and evolving student interests and needs. Our objective is to assemble a menu of options to the IS advisory board for how the concentration may adapt, to continue to offer a cutting-edge program of study.
