Political Philosophy

Description

The University of Richmond has an exceptional number of political philosophers working on political ethics for its size. The faculty in political philosophy is especially strong in terms research quality too. Yet these political philosophers are members of at least four different departments and they rarely met to discuss their scholarship or recent developments in the field before they formed the political philosophy learning community (PPLC) in 2015. This community provides opportunities for scholarly engagement. The PPLC unites a group of scholars who support each other’s research, creates new opportunities for collaboration in the classroom, and develops faculty mentorship networks.
