Richmond Home

Academic Initiatives

The University of Richmond is home to a diverse set of initiatives, large and small, intended to create an active, vibrant community. Some of these initiatives are changing each year, like Faculty Learning Communities and the International Faculty Seminar. Others are longer-standing in nature, like the Humanities Initiative, the First-Year Seminar, the Race and Racism at the University of Richmond Project, and the Center for Civic Engagement.

Participation in these and other initiatives is encouraged, as is the development of new ideas, new possibilities for enhancing the Richmond community.
