Committees and Special Task Forces - Planning and Priorities
Purpose:
Planning and Priorities is advisory to the President. The committee's focus is on strategic resource allocation. It assists in shaping institutional priorities and in establishing the direction of resource allocation; reviews university priorities and the University's financial position on a regular basis and makes recommendations to the President regarding the budget annually.
Membership:
The Planning and Priorities Committee includes seven faculty members (four from A&S and one each from RSB, Law, and JSLS) who are nominated by the Committee on Committees and elected by the faculty, in addition to administrators as designated by the President, including the vice presidents and academic deans. Two staff representatives are nominated by the University Staff Advisory Council. Two student representatives are the student representatives to the Board of Trustees' Business Management Committee. The Controller and Chief of Staff to the President provide support for the committee. The committee is chaired by the President.
